Lithuania: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in 15 months in December
Industrial output jumped 3.6% in year-on-year terms in December, picking up from November’s 0.6% uptick and marking the strongest increase since September 2019. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output gained steam compared to November while the energy supply sector rebounded back to growth.
On a monthly basis, industrial output climbed 0.6% in seasonally-adjusted terms in December, slightly above November’s 0.4% rise. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.5%, up from November’s minus 1.8%.
