Italy: Consumer confidence dips in January
The consumer confidence index dropped to 100.7 in January from 101.1 in December.
January’s weakening came on the back of deteriorations in the personal and the future climate subindexes. On the other hand, willingness to buy big-ticket items increased although it remained entrenched deep into pessimistic terrain, while the current climate subindex gained some ground. Meanwhile, the economic climate subindex remained virtually unchanged.
