Israel: Manufacturing PMI eases in April
The Bank Hapoalim/IPLMA Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) came in at 48.9 in April, down from March’s 51.5. April’s result marked the weakest reading since March 2022. As a result, the index dropped below the 50.0 no-change mark, signaling a deterioration in manufacturing sector operating conditions from the previous month.
The headline print reflected slowdowns in output and local orders growth, a sharper contraction in exports and a downturn in purchasing activity.
