Israel: Manufacturing PMI dips in March
The Bank Hapoalim/IPLMA Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) fell from 49.7 in February to 47.4 in March. Consequently, the index moved further below the 50.0 no-change threshold, signaling a faster deterioration in business conditions compared to the previous month.
March’s reading was driven by slower growth in employment and output, and a contraction in local orders, while cost pressures eased somewhat but remained elevated nonetheless.
