Israel: Manufacturing PMI deteriorates in February
The Bank Hapoalim/IPLMA Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) came in at 49.1 in February, down from January’s 50.8. As such, the index dropped below the 50.0 no-change mark, signaling a deterioration in manufacturing sector operating conditions from the previous month.
The headline print reflected weaker readings regarding local orders, output, employment and raw material purchasing, with the lingering war against Hamas likely weighing on manufacturing activity.
