Hong Kong: Consumer prices increase slightly in March
Consumer prices increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.40% over the previous month in March, after prices were stable in February. The increase in price pressures was largely due to higher prices for food and clothing and footwear.
Consumer prices increased 0.5% on an annual basis in March, which was stronger than February’s 0.4% rise. Annual average inflation ticked up to 0.5% in March (February: 0.4%).
