Greece: Industrial output growth eases for a second successive month in August
Industrial production grew 3.9% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in August (July: +6.5% yoy). The deterioration largely reflected a contraction in mining output and a slowdown in manufacturing activity and electricity supply.
On a monthly basis, industrial production declined 1.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in August, contrasting July’s 0.5% expansion. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 6.4%, down from July’s 6.9% reading.
