Ghana: Inflation comes in at highest level since August 2009 in March
Consumer prices increased a seasonally-adjusted 4.05% from the previous month in March, accelerating from February’s 2.33% rise. March’s jump was the highest reading since January 2016. The largest spikes were registered in transportation and food prices.
Inflation rose to 19.3% in March, following February’s 15.7%. March’s figure was the highest inflation rate since August 2009. Annual average inflation rose to 11.6% in March (February: 10.8%).
