Denmark: Business confidence drops in February
Business confidence among firms in the manufacturing sector continued to drop, with sentiment falling to a three-month low of minus 4 in February from January’s minus 3. As a result, the index moved further away from the 0-point threshold, indicating pessimism among businesses.
Moreover, firms’ sentiment in both the construction and the services sectors inched down one point falling to minus 6 and minus 12, respectively. Meanwhile, businesses in the retail sector became much more pessimistic, with confidence decreasing to minus 11 in February from minus 1 the month prior, largely due to more pessimistic expectations regarding future revenue.
