Bulgaria: Industrial output growth picks up pace in August
Industrial output increased 10.8% compared to the same month of the previous year in August, which was above July’s 8.6% increase. August’s notable upturn came on the back of an increase in manufacturing and mining production.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output rose at a quicker rate of 1.8% in August (July: +0.9% mom), the best result since March. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at plus 4.1% in August, up from July’s 2.7% reading.
