Belgium: Industrial activity drops again in June
Industrial output collapsed 10.5% in June, which was a deterioration from May’s 5.3% decrease.
The notable drop was partly driven by a severe deterioration in manufacturing output. Contrastingly, the mining and quarrying sector saw a small increase.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output fell 1.4% in June (May: +12.2% mom). Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.4% in June, contrasting May’s plus 1.3% reading.
