Belarus: Industrial output contracts further in August
Industrial output shrank by 9.4% compared to the same month of the previous year in August, slightly up from July’s 12.2% contraction. August’s reading marked the smallest contraction since March, however, the sector is still in shambles compared to the pre-war period.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with annual average industrial production growth falling to 9.5% in August (July: 8.2%).
