Argentina: Consumer confidence continues to gradually improve in April
The Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT) consumer confidence index rose to 37.2 in April from 36.7 in March. However, the index remained entrenched below the 50-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism among consumers.
Consumers grew less pessimistic over their future financial situations. Conversely, willingness to purchase big ticket items weakened, as did their expectations over the general economic conditions in the year ahead.
