GDP in Honduras
Honduras - GDPRecent figures published by the Central Bank suggest that the economy grew healthily in Q4. After GDP growth decelerated in Q3, the Economic Activity Index (IMAE) was stable in October and climbed higher in November. Year-end economic growth was likely carried again by strong domestic demand, due to increased remittances from the U.S. ahead of a promised immigration crackdown. Meanwhile, foreign direct investment (FDI) fell for the first time in over a decade in 2016, suggesting that recent IMF-backed public finance reforms may take time to draw investors.
