Kenya: Inflation increases in October
November 10, 2016
In October, Kenyan consumer prices rose 0.62% over the previous month, coming in above the 0.35% increase observed in September. October’s rise mainly reflected higher food prices along with price increases in several other categories.
Inflation edged up from 6.3% in September to 6.5% in October. The figure remained within the Central Bank’s inflation target range of 5.0% plus/minus 2.5 percentage points. Annual average inflation remained at the previous month’s 6.5% in October.
