Steel (USA) Price OutlookPrices for hot-rolled coil U.S. steel lost some further ground over the last few weeks, amid rising inventories in China and strong production growth in the United States. Steel traded at USD 827 per metric ton on 2 November, which was down 1.1% from the same day in October. Nevertheless, the price was 27.8% higher on a year-to-date basis year-to-date and was up 33.4% from over the same day in 2017.
