Palm oil prices averaged USD 1,347 per metric ton in October, down 0.5% from September. On 31 October, the commodity traded at USD 1,330 per metric ton, down 0.7% from 30 September.
Palm oil prices inched down on average in October, partly on muted demand. EU imports are down 28% year on year so far in the 2025/26 season, which started in July, while the Malaysian ringgit strengthened to multi-year highs against the USD in October, making palm oil costlier for holders of foreign currency.
