Natural gas EU prices averaged USD 11.62 per MMBtu in July, down 6.2% from June. On 31 July, the commodity traded at USD 11.83 per MMBtu, up 4.5% from 30 June.
Prices retreated to a three-month low in July, down from their mid-June spike, as Iran and Israel’s late-June truce held. Meanwhile, EU storage reached 69% capacity on 31 July—down from 85% last year—but still putting the bloc on track to meet its 90% goal, helped by recently weak LNG demand from Asia amid softening GDP growth.
