Natural gas EU prices averaged USD 11.13 per MMBtu in September, down 0.3% from August. On 30 September, the commodity traded at USD 10.82 per MMBtu, down 0.3% from 29 August.
Average prices fell slightly to a 14-month low in September. EU stocks ended the month more than 82% full, meaning the bloc should meet its storage target before the winter heating season. Stocks have been boosted by higher LNG cargoes, which have been made affordable by soft Chinese demand and weak global industrial output.
