Prices averaged USD 16.89 per one million British thermal units (MMBtu) in February, down 18.8% from January’s price and 36.5% lower than in the same month last year. EU storage was 61% full on 28 February (five-year seasonal average: 40%) due to strong LNG imports and mild weather. Meanwhile, on 27 February, the fuel traded at USD 14.83 per MMBtu, 20.6% lower than on the same day of the previous month and the lowest price since the war in Ukraine began.
