Molybdenum Prices

Molybdenum prices averaged USD 43,982 per metric ton in May, down 1.4% from April. On 30 May, the commodity traded at USD 46,297 per metric ton, up 5.5% from 30 April.

Molybdenum prices were flat for most of May but spiked at the end of the month. De-escalation between the U.S. and China likely drove the increase; the two countries agreed to significantly lower their reciprocal tariffs for three months as they negotiate a trade deal.
