Rice Prices

Rice prices averaged USD 394 per metric ton in July, down 6.6% from June. On 31 July, the commodity traded at USD 387 per metric ton, down 4.7% from 30 June.

Rice prices edged down for the second consecutive month in July. Excess supply from India’s record-high rice stocks and an expected bumper crop coincided with sluggish demand, the latter likely capped by global trade uncertainty from U.S. tariff threats.
