Prices for arabica coffee averaged near Septemberās four-month high in October. A sharp drop in inventories due to a 50% U.S. tariff hike on Brazilian coffee kept prices elevated, while forecasts of rain in key producing areas in Brazil and speculation that the U.S. might lift its tariff halted further price rises.
