Steel (USA) Price OutlookSteel prices increased sharply in the first half of the year but myriad issues have weighed on them since July, mainly stemming from an upswing in the volume of steel imports into the U.S. The commodity traded at USD 581 per metric ton on 9 September, which was 5.7% lower than on the same day in July but was up 53.3% on a year-to-date basis. The price was 28.2% higher than on the same day last year.
