Inflation in Croatia

Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since September 2021 in June
Harmonized inflation came in at 3.5% in June, which was down from May’s 4.3%. June's result represented the lowest inflation rate since September 2021. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and for transportation increased at a softer pace in June. That said, housing and utilities price growth accelerated. Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 5.7% in June (May: 6.1%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 2.5% in June from May’s 3.3%. Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.78% in June over the previous month, picking up from the 0.19% rise logged in May.
