Croatia: Economic sentiment improves in August
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went up to 104.5 in August, following July’s 104.4. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In August, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (+2.4 vs -1.2 in July) and the retail sector (+2.2 vs +0.6 in July). On the flipside, sentiment darkened in the construction sector (+4.2 vs +5.6 in July), the services sector (+9.1 vs +11.6 in July) and among consumers (-8.9 vs -7.9 in July).
