UAE: Inflation eases in July from the prior month
Latest reading: Consumer prices in Dubai rose 5.3% in annual terms in July, following a 5.7% increase in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, there were milder price pressures for housing and utilities (+7.0% on a year-on-year basis vs +7.1% in June) and transport (+11.9% vs +18.1% in June). In contrast, price pressures were higher for food and beverages in July (+7.8% vs +7.6% in June).
Lastly, consumer prices in Dubai increased 0.10% in July on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.41% increase in the prior month.
