Croatia: Industrial production falls at a softer clip in May
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 1.1% on a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis in May, following a 2.1% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply improved in May (+0.9% in working-day adjusted year-on-year terms vs -11.3% in April). In contrast, readings softened for mining and quarrying (-5.0% vs -0.7% in April) and manufacturing (-2.4% vs -1.5% in April).
In working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production was down 2.0% in May, following a 0.6% drop in the previous month.
