Exchange Rate in Sweden
Consumer price inflation with a fixed interest rate (CPIF) cooled to 8.0% in March (February: 9.4%). Similarly, core inflation softened to 8.9% but still surprised the Riksbank on the upside. Restrictive monetary policy and waning GDP growth will push CPIF down this year, but it will remain above the Bank’s 2.0% target. A weaker-than-expected krona is an upside risk.
