Panelist insight: On the inflation outlook, EIU analysts commented: “We forecast that inflation in Finland will spike in 2026, to an average of 2.9%—above the ECB's 2% target and above the 1.8% average in 2025. We will keep our inflation forecasts under review in the coming months, depending on how long the US/Israel-Iran war lasts, as higher global energy prices will affect Finland, a net energy importer. We then expect inflation to average 2% per year in 2027-30 amid lukewarm economic growth.”
