Slovenia: Industrial production speeds up in April
Latest reading: Industrial production rose 4.4% on a year-on-year basis in April, following a 2.4% increase in the previous month. April’s reading was the strongest since August 2024.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply improved in April (+1.2% in annual terms vs -15.8% in March). In contrast, readings worsened for manufacturing (+4.9% vs +5.2% in March) and mining and quarrying (-35.2% vs -15.9% in March).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production was up 0.3% in April, following a 4.0% increase in the prior month.
