Estonia: Harmonized inflation recedes in February
Harmonized inflation came in at 17.8% in February, which was down from January’s 18.6%. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities prices rose at a quicker pace in February compared to the previous month, while price pressures for transportation eased.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 20.5% in February (January: 20.0%).
In contrast, consumer price inflation fell to 17.6% in February, from the previous month’s 18.6%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.68% over the previous month in February, accelerating from the 0.60% rise seen in January.
