Argentina: Inflation comes in at highest level since our records began
Inflation came in at 102.5% in February, up from January’s 98.8%. February’s result represented the highest inflation rate since our current records began.
Annual average inflation rose to 80.7% in February (January: 76.5%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 6.63% in February over the previous month, picking up from January’s 6.03% increase. February’s figure marked the highest reading since August 2022.
FocusEconomics panelists expect inflation to be 90.5% at the end of 2023, which is up 1.9 percentage points from last month’s forecast. Inflation is projected to moderate to 68.2% at the end of 2024.
