Vietnam: Inflation inches up in April
According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, consumer prices rose 0.31% in April over the prior month, contrasting March’s 0.21% fall. The increase came primarily on higher transport prices.
Inflation edged up from 2.7% in March to 2.9% in April, remaining in line with the Central Bank’s target of below 4.0% inflation. Meanwhile, core inflation edged up from 1.8% in March to 1.9% in April.
