Turkey: Industrial production rebounds in April
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 3.7% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in April, following a 0.8% drop in the previous month. April’s reading was the strongest since December 2024.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in April improved for manufacturing (+4.4% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -1.1% in March) and mining and quarrying (+0.8% vs -1.9% in March). In contrast, the reading for energy softened in April (-2.8% vs +3.8% in March).
In annual terms, industrial production was up 6.0% in April, following a 1.1% decline in the prior month.
