Switzerland: KOF Economic Barometer deteriorates in April
The KOF Economic Barometer came in at 96.4 in April, down from March’s 99.2. As a result, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the Swiss economy.
The downtick was driven by indicators for manufacturing, hospitality and private consumption. In contrast, the outlook for foreign demand was stable and that for financial and insurance services improved.
