Sweden: CPI and CPIF inflation tick up in October
The consumer price index (CPI) was flat in October compared to the previous month, contrasting the 0.5% increase in September. Increases in the cost of healthcare and transport were offset by a reduction in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices. CPI inflation edged up to 1.6% in October from 1.5% in September.
CPI inflation with a fixed investment rate (CPIF)—which is closely followed by the Central Bank—increased to 1.5% in October from 1.3% in September, remaining within the Central Bank’s 1.0%–3.0% tolerance band.
