Sweden: Industrial production returns to growth in April
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy—rose 3.6% on a calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in April, following a 1.4% fall in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in April improved for manufacturing (+3.4% in calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -1.1% in March) and mining (+9.1% vs -10.3% in March).
In working-day adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production was up 6.6% in April, following a 3.5% increase in the prior month.
