Spain: Harmonized inflation increases in April
Harmonized inflation rose to 3.8% in April, following March’s 3.1%. rebounding transport prices and stronger price pressures for housing and utilities were mainly behind the reading.
The trend declined, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 7.2% in May (March: 7.6%). Moreover, core inflation fell to 6.6% in April from 7.5% in March.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.46% in April over the previous month, following the 1.05% increase seen in March.
