Spain: Industrial activity dips in March
Industrial production slid 1.2% year on year in seasonally and calendar-adjusted terms in March (February: +1.3% ). March’s notable downturn was largely due to a slodown consumer goods and intermediate goods production.
On a seasonally and calendar adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell 0.7% in March (February: +0.7% mom), the worst result since April 2023. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.3%, down from February’s minus 0.9%.
