Spain: Industrial production falls in June
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 0.7% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, following a 1.0% rise in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in June softened for consumer goods (-0.6% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -0.2% in May), capital goods (-1.6% vs -0.2% in May), intermediate goods (-0.5% vs +1.8% in May) and energy (+2.5% vs +3.8% in May).
In working-day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production increased 1.1% in June, following a 3.1% rise in the prior month.
