Spain: Industrial production rebounds in May
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 1.2% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in May, following a 0.3% fall in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s data, readings in May improved for consumer goods (-0.3% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs -1.4% in April), capital goods (+0.3% vs 0.0% in April), intermediate goods (+2.0% vs -0.3% in April) and energy (+3.8% vs -0.8% in April).
In working-day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year terms, industrial production was up 3.4% in May, following a 2.3% increase in the previous month.
