Slovenia: Industrial production speeds up in May
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 4.2% in annual terms in May, following a 3.7% rise in the previous month. May’s reading was the strongest since August 2024.
Relative to the previous month’s data, the reading for manufacturing improved in May (+5.7% on a year-on-year basis vs +4.5% in April). In contrast, readings softened for mining and quarrying (-36.4% vs -35.2% in April) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-4.2% vs -2.1% in April).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production rose 0.8% in May, following a 0.1% decline in the prior month.
