Slovenia: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in over one year in October
Industrial output rose 0.5% in year-on-year terms in October, rebounding from September’s 5.1% decrease and marking the best reading since September 2022. Looking at the details of the release, October’s notable turnaround reflected a strong recovery in mining and quarrying production, and less pronounced contractions in manufacturing and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply production.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output was flat in October, contrasting September’s 5.3% increase. Meanwhile, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.0%, up from September’s minus 5.3% reading.
