Slovakia: Economic sentiment falls in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 93.3 in June, following May’s 94.2. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In June, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-7.6 vs -0.9 in May), the construction sector (-5.5 vs -2.9 in May) and the retail sector (-2.8 vs 0.0 in May). However, sentiment turned more upbeat in the services sector (+13.3 vs +7.5 in May) and among consumers (-20.9 vs -23.9 in May).
