Romania: Inflation rises in July
Consumer prices declined 0.2% month-on-month in July, matching June’s print. July’s drop reflected lower prices for food and non-food goods.
Inflation rose to 4.1% in July (June: 3.8%), thus moving further away from the Central Bank’s 1.5%–3.5% target range. Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched down to 4.0% from 4.1% in June.
