Romania: Industrial production shrinks more slowly in June
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 0.6% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in June, following a 2.8% decline in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in June improved for manufacturing (-0.4% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms vs -2.6% in May), mining and quarrying (+2.7% vs -1.0% in May) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-0.2% vs -2.4% in May).
On a working-day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production fell 5.2% in June, following a 5.4% decline in the prior month.
