Hungary: Industrial production slows in June
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 4.7% on a year-on-year basis in June, following a 5.5% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, the reading for manufacturing softened in June (+4.5% in annual terms vs +5.7% in May). In contrast, readings picked up for mining and quarrying (+57.7% vs +51.5% in May) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (+0.8% vs -8.5% in May).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production declined 1.3% in June, following 2.6% growth in the previous month.
