Romania: Economic sentiment falls in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 83.5 in June, following May’s 90.8. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and the lowest since June 2020.
In June, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-2.9 vs -2.7 in May), the construction sector (-12.1 vs -11.7 in May), the services sector (-23.8 vs -6.3 in May), the retail sector (-9.2 vs -4.6 in May) and among consumers (-34.6 vs -32.2 in May).
