Portugal: Harmonized inflation moderates in November
Harmonized inflation came in at 10.2% in November, down from Octobers 10.6%. The reading was driven by moderating price pressures for transportation and housing and utilities. Moreover, prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 7.5% in November (October: 6.9%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation edged down to 9.9% in November, from Octobers 10.1%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.03% in November over the previous month, contrasting October’s 1.07% rise. November’s result marked the sharpest fall in prices since August.
