Greece: Harmonized inflation declines to lowest level since March in November
Harmonized inflation eased to 8.8% in November from Octobers 9.5%. November’s figure represented the lowest inflation rate since March. The reading was largely driven by rising prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for transportation increased at a quicker pace.
The trend pointed up, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 9.0% in November (October: 8.6%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 8.5% in November, from the previous month’s 9.1%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.26% in November over the previous month, a smaller drop than October’s 1.25% drop.
