Portugal: Economic sentiment increases in June
Latest reading: Economic sentiment increased to 103.0 in June, following May’s 101.7. The latest reading was above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
In June, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (-4.3 vs -4.5 in May), the services sector (+9.5 vs +9.2 in May), the retail sector (+7.6 vs +5.9 in May) and among consumers (-21.9 vs -26.2 in May). In contrast, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (+2.8 vs +4.4 in May).
